I read this out of order (started with book 2), but I enjoyed Jax's story tremendously. I really liked that he knew nothing about being with his son, and throughout the course of the story, his son came to mean so very much to him and he would have done anything for him.
I liked Pickett as well. Liked the way she learned to stand up for herself with her family, and liked how she was with Tyler.
This gets a 4 out of 5 because Pickett was quite judgmental of Jax even as the book wore on, and realistic as it may have been, I wanted her to soften up a bit in her judgment of him as he dealt with Tyler.
