I really liked this. The writing is rich, the plot believable, and the characters multi-layered.
I felt for both characters, and hoped they'd find a way to mutual understanding and forgiveness. And I kept waiting for Evan to kick Diana's butt. I was glad he was able to work it out while being true to his character.
What I wondered the entire way through, though, is where the heck was Elaine's father? I would have thought that he would be there to protect his wife and daughter. It bothered me enough that I rated this a 4 instead of a 5.
