For me, this book was all about the human connections. The suspense wasn't terribly gripping, nor were there any huge issues in Eve & Roarke's relationship. But it was so interesting to sit back and watch Eve make connections, to victims, to witnesses. To see that compassion the she rarely lets anyone besides Roarke see.
I felt like this was a transition book. Not that Eve is losing her edge, just that experiencing so much love is giving her a wider perspective.
