3.5.the first half of the book I thought Jake was just an asshole. It read like a 90s Harlequin - hero comes in and tells heroine he's going to marry her and that's all there is. He pushed and prodded, relentlessly. No matter her feelongs about it.
The second half redeemed the book, IMO. Jake still insisted she would marry him, but he allowed her to spread her wings a bit and stopped being so domineerimg. I have liked Bayley-Burke's voice in other books, and I'm glad she got back on track in the 2nd half.
